DescriptionPosition Qualifications: - B.S. in Construction Management, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of Preconstruction experience
- General knowledge of building practices systems and assemblies
- Experience in both hard bid and CM at Risk design-assist estimating efforts is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide preconstruction administration and technical assistance for one large, complex project ($50+ million) or multiple small/medium projects ($15+ million)
- Work in conjunction with Preconstruction team in preparing detailed cost estimates and project budgets ranging from conceptual to GMP based construction documents
- Review design documents and complete an accurate quantity take-off for assigned scopes of work
- Review design iterations, addendum, updates, etc. and identify changes in scope that may result in cost changes.
- Update internal documents (COB and estimate) to reflect the changes and adequately communicate said changes to subcontractors to insure inclusion in subcontractor's pricing
- Review project construction schedule and assist in preparation of general conditions
- Identify and solicit subcontractors for various preconstruction pursuits and ensure adequate
subcontractor coverage in each scope of work
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding involvement/interest in preconstruction pursuits and diligently follow up to review project scope and pricing prior to bid day
- Actively review scope and quantity information with subcontractors in advance of bid day
- Identify and resolve design conflicts and missing information by preparing, tracking, submitting, and distributing preconstruction Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Help identify and prequalify new subcontractors
- Assist with purchasing and issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders
- Assist with conceptual estimating of preliminary preconstruction pursuits
- Lead training of other team members as directed

Job Expectations:- Position may require extended periods of time sitting and/or standing, talking both in person and over technological avenues, lifting up to 20 lbs. as needed
- Position may require travel within the Juneau Construction Company footprint to jobsites and additional office locations for various events as needed.
- This role is hybrid in nature, with the opportunity to work in a remote capacity up to two days/week as applicable.
