Assistant Project Manager, Major Projects - Station ExecutionJob SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager, Major Projects - Station Execution supports the planning and execution of natural gas and station capital projects from development through commissioning and project closeout. This role partners with engineering, construction, operations, environmental, and contractor teams to safely deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting complex infrastructure, utility, industrial, or energy projects and can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This position follows a hybrid work schedule and includes a combination of office, field, and remote work.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of natural gas and station capital projects.
- Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, operations, environmental, procurement, and contractor teams.
- Assist in managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project performance.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Support project estimating, forecasting, change management, and reporting activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and help ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
- Support construction, start-up, commissioning, and project turnover activities.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare project status updates, presentations, and performance reports for leadership.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure project objectives align with organizational goals and standards.
- Manage projects in accordance with company policies, project management standards, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or another technical field and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
- Five (5) years of project management, engineering, construction, utility, industrial, or technical experience.
- Experience supporting capital projects in utility, industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as project demands require.
- Ability to work in field environments that may include high noise levels, dust, extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and other industrial conditions.
- Valid driver's license required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience supporting large industrial or utility capital projects.
- Natural gas utility, station, pipeline, compressor station, LNG, or energy infrastructure experience.
- Experience with gas operations, gas facility construction, and/or start-up commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of commissioning, operational readiness, and project turnover processes.
- Experience utilizing project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management tools.
- PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates on a
hybrid work schedule and requires a combination of remote work, office collaboration, and field/project site visits based on business and project needs.

Salary Range*:$82,200.00 - $123,200.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date:2026-07-15
