Full Job Description
About This Role

Redirect Health operates a fully virtual model of care where nurses, providers, medical assistants, referral coordinators, and care teams work together to deliver exceptional care without the complexity of the traditional healthcare system.

The Assistant Nursing Director of Virtual Care Operations provides operational and clinical leadership across our nursing and care coordination functions. This leader is responsible for developing nursing leaders, creating scalable care delivery processes, ensuring clinical quality, and building the operational structure needed to support substantial growth.

This role is designed for tomorrow's organization, not just today's team size. We're looking for a leader who can build the systems, people, and accountability structures that will support a rapidly growing virtual care model.

Unlike a traditional hospital or medical office environment, success in this role requires someone who is energized by innovation, embraces change, and is passionate about creating a better healthcare experience for members and families.

This Role Is Built For Someone Who

  • Is first and foremost a nurse leader with strong operational instincts
  • Believes healthcare should be simpler, more affordable, and easier for members to navigate
  • Thinks in systems and scale, not just daily tasks
  • Leads with compassion, accountability, and high standards
  • Builds teams and develops future leaders
  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment where improvement is constant
  • Wants to help shape the future of healthcare delivery rather than maintain traditional processes
  • Is energized by solving problems that improve the lives of members and families

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license; other advanced clinical licensure (NP, PA) or equivalent clinical leadership background will be considered
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master of Science in Nursing Leadership (MSN), or equivalent advanced leadership education
  • 7+ years of healthcare experience, including meaningful clinical experience and progressive leadership responsibility
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including leading managers, supervisors, team leads, or other nursing leaders
  • Experience in healthcare operations, virtual care, telehealth, care coordination, utilization management, case management, referrals, or similar healthcare delivery environments
  • Demonstrated success building, scaling, or transforming teams and operational processes
  • Strong operational, financial, and analytical acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence
  • Based in the Phoenix, AZ area or able to reliably work in-person

Preferred:

  • Experience leading virtual nursing or telehealth teams
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks, CRM systems, and healthcare operations platforms
  • Experience designing staffing models, workforce plans, and organizational structures
  • Experience in a high-growth healthcare organization
  • History of promotion into progressively larger leadership roles due to strong performance and results
