Position Overview
United Health Services is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager - SAFE Program (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) & Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) to provide clinical and operational leadership for a specialized nursing program focused on sexual assault forensic care and behavioral health crisis response. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role is responsible for coordinating daily program operations, supporting nursing staff, driving quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing evidence-based, trauma-informed patient care.

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as a key leader in program development, staff education, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Working closely with healthcare providers, behavioral health teams, community agencies, law enforcement, and nursing leadership, this position promotes excellence in the care of patients experiencing sexual assault and behavioral health emergencies. The role also contributes to strategic planning, operational performance, and organizational goals while supporting program growth, regulatory readiness, and positive patient outcomes.

Work Locations:

UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY

There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities.
