We are currently hiring multiple Assistant Nurse Manager Positions
All Full Time
- Inpatient Rehab - Brain and Spine (3-5 years' Med/surg, Stepdown, or ICU experience)
- CTICU/CSICU/Open Heart (3 to 5 years' Cardiac Surgery ICU experience)
- Telemetry Med/Surg (3 to 5 years' Telemetry/Cardiac experience)
ResponsibilitiesPatient Care- Leads nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing for the promotion of the patient experience.
- Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role models expected behaviors.
- Ensures the integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
- Validates staff members round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
- Assesses staff competency in PHR and provides consistent meaningful feedback with more focused feedback as needed.
- Conducts rounding of all patients on a daily basis (Monday-Friday.)
- Communicates quantitative and qualitative information regarding the patient experience and staff engagement to the staff and the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team that leads to the development and implementation of an action plan.
- Collaborates with the physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate.
- Follows up on all patient concerns in a timely manner and provides service recovery as needed.
- Demonstrates caring, respect, compassion, empathy and active listening through dialogue, body language and actions.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or a health-related field preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration in New York State required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in the related specialty area required. Charge Nurse experience highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU and Cardiac units.
