Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be a visionary leader, setting the standard for exceptional patient care and empowering our teams to achieve unparalleled clinical excellence.

Leads and promotes the provision of quality patient care for the assigned clinical service:
  • Demonstrates effective technical nursing skills as documented in unit skills checklists.Prepares for and directs patient care assignments based on acuity and competency of personnel.
  • Ensures screening, evaluation, treatment of patients results in appropriate service delivery, positive clinical outcomes.
  • Participates in hiring, training, coaching and termination of staff, as assigned by Director.
  • Effectively supervises, orients, trains and evaluates staff ensuring effective staff performance and high standards of care.
  • Identifies ongoing training needs of staff, plans annual in-services, classes and training.
  • Oversees staff competency assessment and development process.


Job Requirements

Required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in related unit
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days

Preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Preferred experience would be cath lab, critical care
