Leads and promotes the provision of quality patient care for the assigned clinical service:
- Demonstrates effective technical nursing skills as documented in unit skills checklists.Prepares for and directs patient care assignments based on acuity and competency of personnel.
- Ensures screening, evaluation, treatment of patients results in appropriate service delivery, positive clinical outcomes.
- Participates in hiring, training, coaching and termination of staff, as assigned by Director.
- Effectively supervises, orients, trains and evaluates staff ensuring effective staff performance and high standards of care.
- Identifies ongoing training needs of staff, plans annual in-services, classes and training.
- Oversees staff competency assessment and development process.
Job RequirementsRequired- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in related unit
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days
Preferred- BSN preferred
- Preferred experience would be cath lab, critical care
