Job Description

The Role

The Assistant Manager, Fleet Strategy & Transformation, will help accelerate the growth of the OnStar Fleet business by installing operating discipline and leading strategic planning, operating model design, and cross-functional execution. This role will turn sales activity into revenue execution by improving visibility to pipeline, forecast, retention, expansion, and account health, while integrating centralized resources (training, incentives, enablement, communications, brand, and sales operations) into day-to-day fleet execution.

Working across sales, revenue operations, product marketing, sales enablement, and other key stakeholders, this person will help the organization move faster, make better decisions, and operate more consistently as the business scales. They will enable faster leadership decisions through consistent, executive-ready reporting on performance, risks, gaps, and required actions, and will serve as the dedicated owner of the fleet operating model to remove friction, align teams, and sustain accountability. This role will influence outcomes through leadership, sound business judgment, and cross-functional partnership rather than direct people management, acting as a go-to resource for colleagues and leaders on fleet operating discipline.

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategic planning efforts that translate business priorities into clear plans, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes.

  • Build and manage cross-functional operating rhythms that improve prioritization, decision-making, and follow-through.

  • Partner with OnStar fleet leadership to identify high-value transformation opportunities and convert them into executable business plans.

  • Support executive reviews and business updates by synthesizing progress, risks, gaps, and recommended actions.

  • Serve as a cross-functional integrator across commercial, product, marketing, and sales enablement and operations teams to keep priorities aligned and execution moving.

  • Identify friction in processes, ownership, decision paths, and team interactions, then implement practical improvements that increase speed and accountability.

  • Support key AI initiatives, leveraging AI agents and automation to simplify workflows, reduce manual work, and improve execution speed across planning, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to pilot and scale practical automation solutions that improve process consistency, visibility, and productivity.

  • Strengthen fleet sales execution by improving planning, performance management, and revenue-focused operating discipline.

  • Partner with OnStar fleet sales leadership to clarify objectives, responsibilities, and success measures across key commercial roles, including Account Executives, Customer Success, Rental and Strategic Accounts.

  • Improve coordination across sales, customer success, and sales enablement to drive cleaner handoffs and better outcomes.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to support and influence the development of scorecards, dashboards, and reporting requirements that improve visibility into business performance.

  • Equip leaders with clear, actionable visibility into key business metrics, including revenue growth, pipeline quality, productivity, retention, adoption, and account health.

  • Use data and business analysis to identify gaps, frame tradeoffs, and influence action.

What Success Looks Like

  • A more consistent and scalable planning and operating cadence across OnStar Fleet.

  • Clearer role ownership, decision-making, and cross-functional handoffs that support smoother execution.

  • Better visibility into business performance through effective scorecards, dashboards, and executive-ready reporting.

  • Stronger execution across growth initiatives through aligned priorities, plans, and outcomes.

  • Less process friction slowing commercial performance, launch readiness, or customer growth.

  • Greater rigor, speed, and accountability across the Fleet business.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration (strategy, operations, marketing, or management concentration), finance or accounting, economics, data & business analytics

  • 6+ years experience in strategy, business operations, sales operations, transformation, program management, or go-to-market planning.

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong ability to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, routines, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to frame issues and influence decisions.

  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to senior leaders.

  • Proven ability to build alignment and drive action without direct authority.

  • Comfortable with MS Suite, Salesforce, Slack, dashboarding tools – Power BI, Tableau, and AI and automation tools – Glean, Copilot Studio, Power Automate a plus.

What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting commercial, subscription, SaaS, connected services, or fleet-related businesses.
  • Experience with sales planning, pipeline management, customer lifecycle processes, or revenue operations.
  • Experience designing scorecards, dashboards, and business review processes.
  • Familiarity with go-to-market coordination across sales, marketing, product marketing, and operations.
