What You'll Do

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager II to join our Non-Qualified (NQ) team! In this role, you’ll assist in leading Client Service operations members in the NQ department.

  • Strategize and organize daily work and workflows to ensure services are prompt, efficient, cost effective, and in alignment with department goals.
  • Responsible for managing production, staff, workflow, partnering with Managers on financials/forecasting activities, coaching, and salary and performance decisions.
  • Strategic leadership involves employee coaching, performance management, salary administration, and supporting training and development.
  • Ownership and oversight of daily operations of complex and/or multiple capabilities.
  • Accountable and responsible for ensuring the service is in line with strategic, operational, and financial objectives.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (4+ years of business-related work experience or equivalent required).
  • Basic knowledge of document-related processes, standards, and supporting equipment/software is desired.
  • Provide timely, courteous, and exceptional service to customers while balancing quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to operating with a high degree of integrity and professionalism in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Corporate Code of Ethics, Employee Handbook, compliance and operational policies and procedures, and other company policies; actively collaborates and builds positive working relationships across the organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, business acumen, and supervisory skills required.

Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.   • Associate, Client Service Manager: $69,300 - $81,900/yr
  • Client Service Manager: $84,600 - $99,000/yr

Des Moines, IA

  • Associate, Client Service Manager: $73,150 - $86,450/yr
  • Client Service Manager: $89,300 - $104,500/yr

Charlotte, NC

  • Associate, Client Service Manager: $77,000 - $91,000/yr
  • Client Service Manager: $94,000 - $110,000/yr

Chicago, IL / Minneapolis, MN

  • Associate, Client Service Manager: $84,700 - $100,100/yr
  • Client Service Manager: $103,400 - $121,000/yr

Los Angeles, CA / New York City, NY

  • Associate, Client Service Manager: $92,400 - $109,200/yr
  • Client Service Manager: $112,800 - $132,000/yr

Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension EligibleYes Additional Information Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements. Employees who reside within 30 miles of our Des Moines, IA; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC office locations are expected to follow a hybrid work arrangement, which includes working in the office at least three days per week. Employees who reside more than 30 miles from these office locations may be eligible for remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine the work arrangement that best aligns with business needs and job responsibilities.

Job Level

We are open to hiring at the next level, Manager, Client Services, for candidates who bring additional experience and proven leadership capabilities. To be considered for the Manager level, candidates must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in client service, financial services, retirement plan operations, or equivalent experience gained through work, training, military service, or education.
  • 1+ year of leadership experience, including direct people leadership or indirect leadership through mentoring, coaching, training, project leadership, or leading work across teams.
