Assistant Manager, Collections
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You'll Be Doing
Assists the department manager in directing and overseeing the daily operations of the Collection Department. Ensures that procedures and practices pertaining to inbound and outbound Member communications, workflows, and options for Members with past charged off loans and delinquent auto loans result in productive and efficient operations with a focus on advocacy and support of the service culture of the Credit Union.
37Identifies and leads continuous improvement of processes in the department to provide greater efficiencies and a superior Member experience. Identifies trends and enhancements to work flow processes and practices from late-stage delinquency to post charge-off ensuring the highest levels of service, productivity and quality77
37Designs and executes proactive strategies to minimize risk exposure and optimize financial recoveries across various lending products.77
37Maintains and analyzes statistical records, production reports, and manages dashboards to ensure data-driven decision-making.77
37Researches and resolves Member complaints and implements systems and procedures to prevent future complaints. Assists team in maintaining internal department service levels to frontline teammembers and other business units by providing high quality service based on our service drivers.77
37Leads or supports department or organizational projects and activities related to collections.77
37Responsible for ensuring all department desktop procedures are up-to-date and accurately reflect current processes. Reviews department standard operating procedures (SOPs) on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and both recommends and assists with updates as needed.77
37Authority to approve agency placements, repossession, legal actions, and settlements when needed.77
37Oversees relationships with CU partner/vendors.77
37Representation of the Credit Union at court appearances, as needed.77
Additional Job Functions
37Supervises teammembers directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation. Responsible for scheduling staff.77
37Helps establish, communicate and achieve the Credit Union's goals and standards, ensuring these are fully communicated to and understood by all department staff. 77
37Identifies areas to streamline department and Credit Union operations. 77
37Complies with all government regulatory policies, internal policies and procedures, audit standards, remains current on and informed of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and apprises staff.77
37May act in the capacity of the Manager in their absence.77
37Performs other duties as assigned77
37Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions77
Qualifications
37High School Diploma or GED required77
37Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience required77
373-5 years of prior functional experience required77
371-3 years of prior management experience (i.e. management or lead role) required77
