Assistant General Counsel in

As part of our legal team, you will do varied, meaningful work from the start: negotiating agreements, researching legal and regulatory issues, supporting audits, and advising on business projects. No two days will look exactly the same. You will be encouraged to ask questions and take on increasing responsibility as your skills grow. LOCATIONEnact Headquarters, Raleigh, NC - Hybrid Schedule
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide legal counsel, support, and guidance on applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and non-disclosure agreements
- Review marketing materials, social media postings, and customer communications for compliance with applicable laws
- Conduct legal research and advise the business on regulatory compliance matters in connection with ongoing business projects and initiatives
- Respond to regulatory and customer audits
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer needs
- Monitor new legislative and regulatory requirements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS- JD from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of at least one state bar
- 2-5 years legal experience at a law firm, regulatory agency or in-house legal department, doing progressively more challenging work

- Proficient written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Prior experience in insurance or the mortgage industry
