Our Assistant Estimators are responsible for multiple processes related to project estimating. In this role, you willassist on larger projects or be the estimator on smaller projects.
- Initiates and schedules pre-construction kick-off meeting.
- Identifies areas of risk and profitability to focus project team decision making.
- Drawing/document review anddevelop bid list and invitation to bid process.
- Work collaboratively with outside parties (I.e. the design team, etc.) to accomplish client goals.
- Building and maintaining positive subcontractor relationships and developing critical relationships within Shawmut.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Experience with Bluebeam, On-screen Takeoff, Timberline orother estimating software a plus.
- Experience with out of the ground, renovation, retail and high end boutiques, hotels, restaurants, luxury homes, and high end corporate tenant interiors a plus.
- Experience with projects of various size and scope.
Salary Range Information
Boston Base Salary Range: $72,000 6 $100,000 The range stated is specific to New England Placement. The range listed depends on many factors, including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles), and internal company equity.
