Job DescriptionASSISTANT ENGINEERING MANAGER NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGANA Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Assistant Engineering Manager. Metal Stamping Expertise and previous Manufacturing Engineering Experience is Required. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is Needed. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Typically helps manage and lead up to to 15 Engineering Employees.
- Leads planning and tracking of engineering activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and program timing.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies.
- Reviews and approves engineering records.
- Interviews and selects new personnel.
- Conducts performance reviews including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions.
- Participates in development and ensures adherence to QMS Policy.
- Provides technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel.
- Required to work extra hours and some travel may be required to meet Customer needs.
- All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:- Good English Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- Strong Organizational, Interpersonal and Problem Solving Skills.
- Good Management & Leadership Traits in dealing with All Levels of Employees
- Must be Computer Proficient and Knowledgeable regarding Microsoft Office
- A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field is Required
- 10 years of Automotive Engineering Experience is Required
- Must have Metal Stamping and Welded Assembly Expertise
