Assistant Director - Department of Revenue

We are looking for someone who:

  • doesn't get frazzled by problems and thinks quick on their feet to provide solutions;

  • enjoys serving others and providing top-notch service to the department's customers and employees;
  • pays attention to details others often miss.


What you will do:

  • develop and lead a team of motivated individuals to meet the goals of the Department;
  • be an integral member of the Department's tax administration team;
  • assist with legislation, lobbying, and budget planning for the division;
  • take a leadership role in technology projects and information requests;
  • be a liaison for the Department with its constituents and partners;
  • represent the Department in national tax and regulatory organizations.


What you need:

  • prior experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills;
  • high attention to detail;
  • effective verbal and written communication abilities including spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
  • ability to interpret information, laws, and policies;
  • project management skills;
  • ability to effectively analyze and convey data and information, both within the Department of Revenue and to outside parties.
