Full Job Description
Description

Air New England is seeking an experienced professional pilot to join our team as an Assistant Director of Operations and Part 135 Pilot.

This is not strictly an office position and it is not strictly a flying position. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of the operational leadership of a growing Part 135 organization while continuing to fly regularly. This individual should be comfortable moving between the cockpit and the operational side of the company without becoming overly bureaucratic.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director/Assistant Director of Operations, President, Vice President, Chief Pilot, Charter Department, and other company leadership in managing the day-to-day operation of the company.

For the right individual, this position offers the potential to develop into the company's Director of Operations position.
What We're Looking For

First and foremost, we are looking for a leader.

The successful candidate should be someone our pilots can approach, respect, and rely upon, while also being comfortable working with charter personnel, company management, customers, the FAA, and meets the requirements of 14 CFR §119.71.

Requirements
  • ATP rated
  • At least 3 years qualifying PIC experience flying under part 121 or 135
  • Thorough knowledge of the regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Attention to detail
  • Regulatory knowledge
  • Willingness to address operational issues before they become problems
Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include a combination of flying and operational management duties, including:
  • Serve as a Part 135 pilot in company aircraft
  • Assisting with day-to-day flight operations and operational control
  • Provide leadership and support to the company's pilot group
  • Working closely with the Vice President and Charter Department to coordinate daily operations
  • Assist in resolving scheduling, crew, aircraft, weather, maintenance, and other operational issues
  • Promoting consistent compliance with company procedures, Operations Specifications, and applicable FAA regulations
  • Assisting with FAA correspondence, inspections, surveillance, and certificate-management matters
  • Review operational practices and identify areas where procedures can be improved
  • Take primary responsibility for revising and maintaining company manuals, including the General Operations Manual, Training Manual, and related policies and procedures, with assistance from the Assistant Director of Operations
  • Supporting pilot training, standardization, and communication
  • Participating in the continued development of the company's safety and compliance culture

Benefits
  • 8 paid holidays
  • Anthem Medical (Includes Vision)
  • HSA
  • 401K after 90 days of employment
