We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) to join our nursing management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long - term and skilled care, nursing leadership, a commitment to high-quality care, and a passion for serving our residents to join our nursing management team.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department
  • Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care
  • Plan, develop, direct, evaluate and coordinate staff development educational programs to include new hire orientation, staff in-services and on-the-job training
  • Plan, develop, coordinate and direct the Infection Control Program
  • Provide staffing coverage as requested to maintain appropriate staff ratios
  • Share "on call" responsibility with DNS and other nurse managers


Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing
  • Must have at least two years' experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility long-term care setting
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that pertain to long-term care
  • Must be CPR/BCLS and IV certified
  • Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies
  • Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
