Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department
- Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care
- Plan, develop, direct, evaluate and coordinate staff development educational programs to include new hire orientation, staff in-services and on-the-job training
- Plan, develop, coordinate and direct the Infection Control Program
- Provide staffing coverage as requested to maintain appropriate staff ratios
- Share "on call" responsibility with DNS and other nurse managers
Requirements- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing
- Must have at least two years' experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility long-term care setting
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that pertain to long-term care
- Must be CPR/BCLS and IV certified
- Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies
- Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
