About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, staff development, and compliance with policies and regulations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians
- Developing and achieving nursing department goals and objectives
- Implementing and monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff
- Collaborating with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations
- Assisting in the development and implementation of an accurate and effective documentation system
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- A current CPR certification
- A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population
- A minimum of one (1) year of management experience
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facility function
- A strong understanding of leading and managing a team
