Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team! The Assistant
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) collaborates with and provides a second level of leadership for the
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to ensure the monitoring and assessment of facility-wide patient nursing care for adults, adolescents, and children and to ensure that clinical nursing practice is based on established procedures and ensures the highest possible quality of patient care.
Shift:Full Time
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction to Registered Nurses, LVNs, and Mental Health Technicians.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of chemical dependency and mental health disorders, applying appropriate treatment interventions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain philosophy, goals, and objectives for Nursing department and inpatient units, aligned with professional nursing practice and hospital's purpose.
- Provide administrative support to supervisors and Program Directors, collaborating closely with CEO and CFO on budgeted annual FTEs.
- Plan and coordinate mandatory trainings for staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare changes.
- Ensure adequate staffing on all inpatient units 24/7, assist Chief Nursing Officer with hiring, terminations, and policy enforcement, maintain customer satisfaction, and support education, training, and onboarding of nursing staff.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN Required
- Current Delaware Registered Nurse License
- 3 years' experience in a behavioral health nursing supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills and organizational ability
- Superior communication skills and adaptability in changing situations
- Current CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications:- MSN from an accredited School of Nursing
