Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)The ADON plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Nursing and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This position provides clinical leadership, supports nursing staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassion throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is a strong nursing leader with long-term care experience who is passionate about improving resident outcomes and supporting a dedicated nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations and nursing department oversight.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
- Monitor compliance with resident care plans, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support staff education, training, and professional development.
- Assist with audits, surveys, incident reviews, and development of corrective action plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes.
- Assist with staffing coordination and support effective communication across all nursing shifts.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required.
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of nursing practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
