Full Job Description
The Assistant Director of Membership will concentrate efforts on outreach to and follow up with potential candidates for Jonathan Club Town membership. More specifically the role entails identifying, marketing and attracting potential new members for the Town Club. The Assistant Director of Membership will serve as an Ambassador of Jonathan Club to Downtown Los Angeles business and community leaders. This position reports to the Director of Membership.
  • Actively builds and manages a portfolio of potential candidates for membership, in collaboration with the Director of Membership
  • Proactively identi-fies candidates by:
    • Securing a potential candidates list through thorough research of local social and industry influencers
    • Establishing working relationships with DTLA business communities, third party social and residential communities in Los Angeles
    • Maintaining a pulse on business and industry trends in Los Angeles
    • Engage existing Town members and guests who frequent Town Club and open avenue for referrals
    • Identify and participate in programming opportunities to engage the candidates and new Town members
    • Scheduling meetings with potential candidates and inviting them to Prospective Member Receptions.
  • Conducts ongoing stewardship efforts to enhance potential member relations
  • Adheres to the Club's standard of excellence and privacy in all communications and handling of sensitive materials
  • Ensures consistency in messaging and outreach by all representatives of the Club
  • Provides weekly report to Director of Membership that will be shared for GM/COO report
  • Identifi-es and tracks unsuccessful candidates by developing a standardized report including candidate feedback

Requirements
  • Comprehensive sales and marketing, including digital, social and traditional outreach experience.
  • A proactive self-starter who anticipates needs and takes ownership without being prompted.
  • High emotional intelligence and tailor communications based on situations.
  • Excellent written skills, able to adapt tone and voice.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively and persuasively communicate to a variety of candidates.
  • Excellent project management skills, including strong organization, planning, critical thinking and analysis abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Working knowledge of Northstar, Qlik, Calendly, Canva, Photoshop and HubSpot CRM are preferred
  • A sophisticated, well-groomed and professional appearance is required and must be maintained per Jonathan Club standards.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, development or a closely related fi-eld is required.
  • Some Private Club knowledge preferred, Jonathan Club knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible / participate in team work.
  • Positive attitude and supportive, team-based approach towards the attainment of Club's goals.

Pay Range $90,000 to $100,000 including a discretionary bonus
