Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Director of Enrollment Research & Analytics, the Assistant Director translates complex admissions, financial aid, and student success data into strategic recommendations. Operating at the intersection of analytics and higher education strategy, this role partners with stakeholders across Student Enrollment and Engagement (SEE) to build decision-ready data products, track key performance indicators, and advise leadership. The incumbent also collaborates closely with the institutional strategy team to help execute elements of Berklee's strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Analytics: Own key ad-hoc and recurring analytical projects across SEE; partner with the strategy team to enable data-driven innovation on strategic plan components.
- Reporting & Visualization: Build, maintain, and update interactive Tableau dashboards; track trends and metrics related to enrollment, financial aid, and student retention.
- Data Extraction: Extract and manipulate data from Berklee's Snowflake data warehouse using SQL and Python/R.
- Cross-Functional Advisory: Translate complex findings into clear presentations for non-technical stakeholders, from frontline staff to executive leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications- Education & Experience: Masters degree in a quantitative or social science discipline and 5+ years experience in data analysis or operations consulting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Tableau (or similar BI software), intermediate SQL, and programming experience in Python or R.
- Consultative Skills: Proven track record of turning analytical data into actionable guidance and troubleshooting technical or operational data issues.
- Preferred: Higher education background (enrollment, financial aid, or student success), advanced SQL, Snowflake, Workday Student, Salesforce, and predictive modeling experience.
