Summary of Job Duties:

The Cancer Service Line Assistant Nursing Director (CSLAND) is an integral part of the Service Line (SL) Leadership Triad, working closely with the SL Nursing Director, SL Medical Director and SL Administrator to support the mission and vision of the institution. The CSLAND ensures strategic direction of the Service Line, facilitates quality, patient- and family-centered care, outcomes to include patient satisfaction, balanced score card performance, and conformance with the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas, accreditation, regulations and institutional policy. The CSLAND has broad leadership responsibilities for the implementation of nursing and when applicable, other allied discipline functions within the service line. Additionally, the CSLAND is responsible for providing leadership across the care continuum, including home, community, ambulatory and inpatient. The SLAND has a matrix reporting relationship to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and the SL Director. The CSLAND will ensure that clinical operations, including clinical research operations and clinical education, are efficient, integrated and highly oriented to providing a positive patient experience. The CSLAND will also oversee Joint Venture relationships withing the Service Line, the CSLAD establishes, supports, and enhances relationships with all stakeholder groups, especially employees.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSN required and actively pursuing with achievement of Master’s degree within three (3) years.

  • Five (5) years Registered Nursing experience.

  • Three (3) or more years of nursing managerial experience in related service area.

  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License.

  • National Nursing Certification required within one (1) year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Infusion Center management experience

  • Master's Degree in Nursing

  • National Certification
