Samaritan's Purse is looking for an Assistant Director, Ministry Process Management to serve with the Ministry of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) at our International Headquarters in Boone, NC. Join our outstanding team and help take the good news of great joy to children all around the world!

A day in the life of an Assistant Director, Ministry Process Management:

In the role of Assistant Director, Ministry Process Management, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Collaborate with IT partners to develop, launch, and manage strategic short and long-term initiatives for OCC
  • Design and implement solutions to organizational challenges to drive operational efficiency and maximize ministry impact
  • Lead a team of project managers in the delivery of key OCC initiatives
  • Manage new product rollout and system upgrades
  • Oversee projects to assure strategic alignment in collaboration with IT partners
  • Direct user story definition, accept testing plans, and validate projects before rollout
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for data analytics and geospatial systems across OCC operations
  • Set objectives, prioritize initiatives, and focus resources on enterprise tools such as Tableau and GIS services
  • Partner with the Strategic Reporting Manager to provide direction for dashboard development, data integration, and reporting standards ensuring alignment with ministry goals and data integrity
  • Set the plans and standards for training staff and documenting IT systems
  • Work with project managers to ensure software rollouts include clear user guides and consistent support resources
  • Serve in an OCC processing center for a minimum of one week during OCC processing season (Nov-Dec)
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and seven to ten years related experience and/or training in project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OCC IT projects and programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of testing OCC IT systems and programs
  • Project management and data analysis skills
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data and write proposals


Job Location: Boone, NC

Type: Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: 35-40 days annually; maintaining required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
