Description
We are looking for an Assistant Director II to join our team in the Division of Administration and FinancialManagement within the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID).We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to oversee the planning, assessment, andexecution of projects across the DBHDID state-owned facilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee all facilities management and operations for department facilities across the state.
- Addresses facilities management projects and repairs. Coordinates with facility staff, other cabinetagencies and contractors.
- Provides technical management assistance concerning all Capital Projects for all Department for BehavioralHealth, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities facilities (DBHDID). Drafts, recommends and presents theCapital Plan to division director and department leadership for review and approval.
- Directly supervises employees. Completes performance planning and evaluations on employees. Reviews andapproves time and attendance records.
- Reviews, analyzes and develops ad-hoc reports concerning management issues as requested. Reviews applicablestatutes and federal regulations. Evaluates routine, special and technical reports to monitor effectivenessand efficiencies of activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Five years of administrative or management experience, two of which must include direct supervision of personnel.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional administrative, management, or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
