Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Director of Emergency Services: responsible for facilitating and leading clinical practice to provide evidence based, efficient and effective patient care in alignment with the Mission, Vision and Values of UH. Responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, management and oversight of Emergency Services' Quality Improvement processes. Leads and/or coordinates process improvement activities related to patient safety, accreditation standard, regulatory requirements and quality improvement across the service area. Collaborates with medical staff to facilitate optimal patient outcomes and overall operational efficiency within the scope of service.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required. Master's degree in Nursing desired. Must have at least three years clinical experience. Adult, pediatric and inpatient experience desired. Experience within the University Health System is desirable.

LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of Texas. Current training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is required. Current certification is required.
