Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Assistant Dean supports the Dean in the academic and administrative leadership of the School of Business, including both undergraduate and graduate programs. The position plays a key role in supporting academic quality, accreditation and assessment activities, curriculum administration, faculty coordination, student success, and the effective day-to-day operations of the School.

Working collaboratively with the Dean, faculty, academic advisors, and University offices, the Assistant Dean helps ensure that academic programs remain current, effectively administered, aligned with accreditation standards, and responsive to the needs of students and the University.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate annual departmental and program assessment, including learning outcomes, curriculum maps, rubrics, results, and continuous-improvement plans.
  • Maintain ACBSP accreditation documentation and assist with reports, self-studies, evidence collection, and accreditation reviews.
  • Coordinate curriculum review and assist with program revisions, new-program proposals, catalog updates, and degree-audit accuracy.
  • Maintain approved blueprints for business core courses, including learning outcomes, required content, signature assignments, and assessments.
  • Assist with course scheduling, enrollment monitoring, faculty assignments, adjunct onboarding, and academic operations.
  • Work with dean, faculty, advisors, and University offices to resolve student academic and degree-progress issues.
  • Assist Dean with advisement of graduate students
  • Support experiential learning (e.g. guest speaker outreach, field trip logistics ), strategic initiatives, external partnerships, and School events.
  • Assist the Dean with reports, meetings, faculty searches, and special projects.
  • Participation in campus wide events (e.g. Accepted Students Day, Open Houses, Orientation, etc.)

Requirements
  • Master's degree in business, higher education, assessment, curriculum and instruction, or a related field required; doctoral degree preferred.
  • At least four years of relevant higher academic administrative experience. Some teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience with assessment, accreditation, curriculum development, or academic program management.
  • Strong organizational, project-management, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Experience with MSCHE and/or ACBSP accreditation and course-blueprint maintenance is preferred.

The annual salary for this position is $90,000.
