Advertised Job Summary
The Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations serves as a senior strategic partner to the Dean of the College of Nursing and works closely with other members of the leadership team. This role is responsible for the administration, fiscal management, budgeting, IT, facilities management, and human resources management at the College.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Demonstrated skills in operations, human resources, facilities management, finance/accounting, procurement and post-award management, and/or related areas. Familiarity with academic/university systems and processes.- Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, with all constituents of the College of Nursing, including students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni, and partners.- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups.- Ability to effectively direct, manage, and lead professional and support staff.- Excellent problem solving skills with proven ability to strategize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines.- Understanding and support of the teaching, research, practice, and service missions of the College of Nursing. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications- At least three years of overseeing or working closely with HR, Budget, IT, and academic and facilities stakeholders in a USC Academic Unit is preferred.- Experience with USC's Responsibility Center Management (RCM) budget model is preferred.
