General Position Description

This position serves as a member of the School's academic leadership team, partnering with the Dean, Associate Dean(s), and Chair(s) to provide learning leadership and supervision for part-time faculty. Conducts observations, offers feedback, and analyzes course success data to support part-time faculty development and improve student outcomes. Serves as a liaison for discipline-specific issues, supports instructional material adoption, and works with academic leadership to enhance faculty effectiveness. Manages hiring, onboarding, and course assignments for part-time faculty.

Essential Job Functions

Description of Job Function

1. Serves as a member of the School's academic leadership team.

2. Provides learning leadership and supervision of part-time faculty, in collaboration with the Dean, Associate Dean(s), and Chair(s).

3. Analyzes course success data for part-time faculty and uses insights to provide instructional support.

4. Uses observations, evaluations, course success data, and student feedback to create individualized learning plans for part-time faculty; incorporates constructive feedback to promote growth.

5. Serves as a point of contact for discipline-specific issues at assigned locations and addresses student concerns.

6. Conducts observations of part-time faculty instructional delivery and assessment practices; provides constructive feedback for improvement.

7. Works with colleagues across disciplines to strengthen part-time faculty effectiveness.

8. Supports adoption and implementation of instructional materials for part-time faculty.

9. Manages full-cycle hiring & discipline-specific onboarding for part-time faculty.

10. Collaborates with college and academic leadership on part-time faculty course assignment based on enrollment trends and targets, ensuring alignment with the college's strategic enrollment management plan.

11. At the direction of college leadership and in partnership with academic leadership, analyzes student success and placement data to inform curricular discussions with transfer institutions and/or industry partners.

12. Ensures part-time faculty adheres to compliance, accreditation, and instructional expectations.

13. May supervise and/or lead support staff.

14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
