Job Summary:

The Assistant Corporate Controller plays a vital role in supporting the Corporate Controller in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position assists in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies. The Assistant Corporate Controller collaborates with various departments to drive process improvements, optimize financial performance, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting activities, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, variance analysis, and performance metrics tracking.
  • Support the development and management of annual budgets, interim forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Assist with cost accounting and inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash management, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements, including the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, and ensure compliance accordingly.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Corporate Controller or senior management.

The position is required to wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.
