YANMAR America is seeking an Assistant Controller to help lead our accounting operations and support the financial health of our growing organization. What You'll Do:
Oversee daily accounting operations and support the achievement of departmental goals
Maintain accounting policies, procedures, tax files, and corporate records
Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements and monthly financial reports
Manage sales tax, use tax, 1099 reporting, and other state and federal reporting requirements
Streamline cash receipt processes and work with AR/AP to resolve outstanding balances
Develop and maintain the chart of accounts while providing training and guidance to staff
Ensure bank reconciliations and key accounting controls are completed accurately and on time
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Lead and train accounting staff through month-end close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting processes
Coordinate annual audit activities and support external auditors
Assist with insurance renewals, financial controls, and continuous process improvements
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of accounting management experience
CPA or active CPA candidate
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
Previous Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
