Position OverviewThe Associate Director/Director will be part of the Carry-Coinvest Controller team that supports both self and third party -administered employee co-invest funds and carried interest entities across all Apollo Private Equity and Credit funds. This is a varied role and key to the successful finance support function to the businesses, as Apollo continues to launch new funds across their various platforms. The person should be enthusiastic, hard-working, self-starter and willing to take on challenges.
This role involves working closely with several departments within Apollo including various Fund Controller teams, human capital, legal, and tax to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely information. The role sits within the Global Business Finance team and it is expected that the individual will form good relationships with the Corporate and Fund Controller teams in order to facilitate the support of accurate reporting to Apollo.
Primary Responsibilities- Critical team member in originating, development, and launch of new carry/incentive plans and other compensation related projects.
- Maintenance and review of full accounting records in Investran, including analytical reviews and monthly/quarterly reporting
- Review of capital calls and distributions for co-invest and carried interest entities
- Collaborate with multiple teams (AGM, tax, compliance, analytics, and compensation) for monthly and quarterly reporting and ad hoc requests including requests from carry and co-invest participants
- Liaison with external auditors with regards to statutory fund audits
- Close coordination with Employee Investor Services for onboarding of Carry Plans, Employee Co-investment opportunities and Employee Loan Program
- Participate in group initiatives to streamline, automate and simplify current processes to create efficiencies
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 6+ years of experience (mix of public accounting & and private preferred)
- Undergraduate accounting degree with exceptional academic credentials.
- Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise (CPA or equivalent is a plus)
- General Partner Accounting experience a plus
- Highly skilled with Excel
- Client-serving individual who exhibits strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Individual must be diligent and work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proactive, forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines with great attention to detail
- Experience with Investran and Salesforce is a plus

Pay Range$160,000 - $250,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location.
