Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Computer Science

Position Summary:The Computer Science Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions starting in Fall 2025. Exceptional candidates will be considered in all areas of Computer Science, but priority will be given to those that can build synergies in the following areas, defined broadly:

- Cybersecurity (2 tenure-track positions)
- AI and applications of AI (such as robotics) (2 tenure-track positions)

We aim to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered.Essential Functions:Computer Science faculty are expected to contribute to department's undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, pursue external funding, and publish in top conferences and journals. NJIT has recently expanded its graduate programs to a satellite location in Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from the financial district of Lower Manhattan in New York City, where it serves the vast pool of working professionals in the region. The faculty may be called upon to teach at this location as needed.Prerequisite Qualifications:Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by Summer 2025 in a relevant discipline, and outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their ability to conduct independent world-class research and attract external funding. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.Bargaining Unit:PSA
