Full Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Owns end-to-end planning and execution of plan-level asset transfers and complex financial transactions, including development and management of detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation for all money movement events.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on fund lineups at both the incoming and prior recordkeeper, including mutual funds, stock, stable value, brokerage, and outside funds; proactively identifies and addresses fund-specific issues and constraints.
  • Partners closely with internal teams, prior trustees/recordkeepers, and senior client Treasury and HR stakeholders to coordinate asset movement, re-registration of assets, and resolution of pricing or revenue-sharing considerations.
  • Leads implementation of all money movement activities, including complex scenarios (e.g., next-day settlement, confirmed purchase), ensuring accurate system setup, file creation, and comprehensive testing that reflects unique fund and trade-date dynamics.
  • Convenes and facilitates money movement meetings across internal and external stakeholders; ensures appropriate resources are engaged, dependencies are managed, and accountability is clearly established.
  • Identifies, documents, and mitigates risks associated with asset transfers; develops clear mitigation strategies and solutions and communicates them effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates fund closings and openings, working in close partnership with Investment Services resources supporting outside funds and brokerage investments.
  • Reviews and contributes to fund-related participant communications, partnering with Participant Education to ensure materials are current, accurate, and aligned; drafts participant-facing content when required.
  • Monitors and reports expected and actual transfer amounts; proactively solicits updates from prior recordkeepers as valuation dates approach and ensures transparency through asset transfer reporting.
  • Initiates, tracks, and positions required legal documentation, collaborating with client counsel and internal partners to ensure all documentation is executed and in place by valuation dates.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for prior trustees, investment managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the asset transfer and money movement lifecycle.
  • Oversees reconciliation of plan-level financial transactions to participant records and received assets; ensures accurate loading, validation, editing, and maintenance of money movement files.
  • Demonstrates leadership within the team by mentoring peers, supporting issue resolution, sharing expertise, and contributing to training and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional responsibilities as needed in support of broader business objectives.


Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Three to five years business experience plus a minimum of two years of Defined Contribution recordkeeping or conversion experience.
  • Excellent understanding of investments (mutual funds, company stock, stable value, outside funds, separate accounts)
  • Thorough knowledge of VISTA, VISION, and money movement systems
  • General understanding of ERISA
  • Disciplined project management and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
