Asset Service Manager
Scarborough, ON | Full-Time | On-Site | Senior (5+ years)

Overview

Your work will directly support customer reliability, equipment performance, warranty resolution, and service excellence. You will collaborate with internal production, quality and R&D teams. This is a role where your technical expertise and customer interactions will make an immediate impact.

Your Tasks:
  • Support US and international customers, serving as primary point of contact for technical questions related to installed equipment and service requirements
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new service opportunities in the instrument transformer, reactors and high voltage equipment scope.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end customers and sales agents.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Perform off- and on-site inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-voltage equipment, including instrument transformers, coils, and reactors; including spare parts sourcing and coordination planning with the customers
  • Conduct initial issue assessments and root cause analysis for equipment-related questions
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup activities for new equipment
  • Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition and define service scope, including preparing technical inputs for quotations, schedules, and recommendations
  • Support customer cases (either inside or outside warranty) by troubleshooting issues and coordinating with internal engineering, quality, manufacturing, and third-party teams through resolution
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and service partners on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
  • Document service activities, findings, corrective actions, and recommendations through detailed service reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, and field service procedures during all activities
  • Collaborate with service operations, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service documentation in good working order Support continuous improvement initiatives related to field reliability, product performance, and customer experience
  • Travel frequently to customer sites across the United States and Canada as per business requirements


Requirements:
  • Technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of high-voltage technology and power transmission systems
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with high-voltage equipment, instrument transformers, coils, reactors, or related electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical testing, diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
  • A strong "hands on" mentality and practical experience working with tools
  • Experience performing field service activities, inspections, commissioning, and warranty support
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments while managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with safety standards and field service best practices within industrial or utility environments
  • Experience with SAP or other service management systems is considered an asset
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Previous experience within utility, power transmission, energy, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred

In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information about compensation for this role. The expected compensation range for this position is CAD $105,000 - $150,000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several job-related factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations. This role offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including paid vacation, group health benefits, pension plan, bonus, and additional employee programs.
