JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Vice President in Asset Servicing Operations within our Brooklyn team, you will be at the forefront of delivering critical asset servicing events for WHEM Markets. You will partner with Product, Client Service, Technology, and Global Operations teams to enhance the client experience and drive continuous improvement. In this role, you will inspire and develop a high-performing team, foster a culture of accountability, and champion innovation to deliver scalable, best-in-class service. You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values diverse perspectives and is committed to operational excellence. Together, we strive to simplify processes, embrace automation, and deliver outstanding results for our clients and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of asset servicing events, ensuring accurate and timely execution and exceptional service delivery.
  • Manage operational governance for controls, checkpoints, inquiries, and instruction processing, ensuring quality assurance and appropriate escalation.
  • Act as a senior escalation authority for complex and high-risk issues, coordinating resolution across global partners and stakeholders.
  • Foster a strong risk and control culture by monitoring key risk indicators, identifying root causes, and driving remediation to improve client outcomes.
  • Deliver operational improvement initiatives focused on simplification, standardization, and enhanced procedures to strengthen quality and reduce risk.
  • Champion automation and innovation by leveraging new technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, to increase scalability and accuracy.
  • Oversee team capacity planning and workflow management, ensuring service levels are met and priorities are balanced.
  • Represent the organization in management and stakeholder forums, providing clear updates on performance, risk, and strategic priorities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, promoting knowledge-sharing, accountability, and succession planning.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Eight years of relevant financial services experience, with demonstrated leadership in Asset Servicing or Global Custody Operations (such as Corporate Actions and related workflows).
  • Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, risk-focused environment, managing multiple priorities and delivering strong execution.
  • Strong control mindset with experience in risk reduction, improving controls, and ensuring adherence to policies and standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate issues and remediation plans to senior management.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving change, including operational improvements and technology-enabled efficiencies.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership and project or program management across operations, product, technology, or client-facing teams.
  • Ability to drive operational improvement through continuous improvement methodologies (such as process re-engineering, control enhancement, or KPI/KRI management), delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Prior people leadership experience with a focus on talent development and team performance.
