Full Job Description
Join our team as an Asset Manager!

This hybrid position can be based in our Oregon, Wisconsin; Phoenix, Arizona; or Denver, Colorado offices. You'll represent ownership across a nationwide portfolio, working closely with investors, lenders, syndicators, development, property management, and executive leadership to maximize asset performance, manage risk, and guide long-term investment strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the financial performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term investment strategy of a portfolio of LIHTC and other affordable housing communities.
  • Analyze property financial statements, cash flow, NOI, budgets, forecasts, capital needs, and operating trends to identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, investment analyses, return projections, capital account reporting, and other analyses supporting ownership and portfolio decisions.
  • Evaluate and manage major portfolio strategies and transactions, including refinancing, recapitalization, investor exits, syndication, disposition, loan conversions, and equity releases.
  • Monitor partnership agreements, debt covenants, reserve requirements, LURAs, and other financing and ownership obligations while ensuring compliance with applicable affordable housing programs.
  • Partner with Property Management, Development, Accounting, Compliance, investors, lenders, syndicators, and regulatory agencies to address asset performance, financial, operational, and compliance matters.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding asset preservation, risk mitigation, capital planning, portfolio performance, and long-term investment strategy, including conducting periodic property site visits.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of direct asset management experience within affordable housing required, with progressively responsible experience overseeing multifamily investment assets.
  • Extensive LIHTC experience and knowledge of other affordable housing programs such as HOME, Section 8, RAD, LURAs, and other federal, state, and local programs.
  • Experience working for or directly with a developer, investor, syndicator, or similar real estate ownership/investment organization.
  • Strong finance and accounting expertise, including financial statements, financial modeling, cash flow analysis, investment returns, budgets, capital planning, and portfolio performance; a degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, or equivalent high-level experience in these areas.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for ownership and executive leadership.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to confidently work with investors, lenders, syndicators, regulatory agencies, and internal leadership; ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed.
