Full Job Description
What will you do?

  • Lead the research and development of progressive strategies, policies, and modern tools to manage infrastructure assets effectively
  • Analyze corporate infrastructure data using advanced systems (such as RIMS and Tririga) and establish robust funding models
  • Manage multi-disciplinary, cross-departmental projects from concept to completion, including asset management plans, annual inventories, and national surveys
  • Design data visualizations, interactive dashboards, and comprehensive reports to share insights with internal teams and external collaborators
  • Provide strategic advice and mentorship to asset owners across the organization, helping align localized practices with corporate targets
  • Coordinate infrastructure initiatives with various orders of government, non-profits, and private sector partners to stay ahead of emerging trends
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • A University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Arts, Urban/Regional Planning, or a related discipline, supplemented by coursework or training in business management
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience combining strategic and operational business planning


Assets:

  • A formal certificate in asset management planning is highly desirable
  • Previous leadership or project/program management experience within a public sector or municipal environment


Skills required for success:

  • Demonstrated experience working with corporate performance measures, multi-year budgets, and business case development
  • Equipped to consult, guide, and mentor internal business units with varied technical capacities
  • Out-of-the-box thinking to tackle complex process changes and navigate ambiguity or shifting priorities
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to translate complex data into clear, understandable dialogue for executive leadership and interested parties
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and exposure to specialized data modeling software

Work Environment:

  • This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52.
  • The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement, and the incumbent will be notified in advance.


Up to 1 permanent full-time position

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Salary Range: $48.774 - $61.628 (Hourly); $101,840.11 - $128,679.26 (Annually)
