In this position...

You will be responsible for the end-to-end marketing, branding, and communications strategy for Ford Customization focused on Dealer Channel and Dealer Installed Options (DIO). While we maintain a strong presence in the production channel (factory-fit), your primary focus will be driving massive growth in the Aftermarket Channel. You will lead the charge with engaging the Ford Accessory Distributors and Dealer network to drive the Go-To-Market marketing initiatives to deliver accessory growth in the dealer showroom.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Responsible for development and execution of the overall Ford Customization marketing strategy for Dealer Channel and Dealer Installed Options and e-commerce to achieve business plan financial targets.
  • Growth Strategy & Execution: Lead the marketing efforts to achieve the aggressive 5 year business plan growth. This will include dealer in-store marketing materials, tools and online assets to drive dealer showroom accessory sales. This position will work cross functionally with Ford Customization Sales team, Planners and Commodity Management and Ford Accessory Distributor network to deliver and execute the various marketing initiatives
  • Brand & Communications: Amplify the Ford Customization brands. Ensure brand consistency across all sub-brands, including Ford Accessories, Ford Custom Garage and Ford Racing Parts
  • Lead marketing agency(s) to implement marketing strategies, ensure project timeliness, provide creative brief direction and ensure prioritization of workload is correct
  • Experiential Marketing: Develop and execute a robust experiential strategy. You will directly engage with enthusiast customers through media drives, events, and driving experiences to foster loyalty and passion.
  • Digital & Retail Transformation: Collaborate with Ford Marketing & Sales to create a "Best in Class" digital configurator and shopping experience. Integrate accessories into the digital backbone of the customer journey.
  • Coordinate, manage and execute electronic field and dealer communications relating to accessories including potential Field Service actions or recalls in addition to new accessory product launches or incentives.
  • Dealer Activation: Partner with the sales team to "level up" our dealers. You will oversee the marketing of dealer-facing enablers, including display walls, mannequin vehicles, and proactive sales incentives.
  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Integration: Break down silos by integrating Customization GTM strategies with core Ford processes to ensure a seamless "search, shop, find, and sale" experience.
  • Ideate and edit all marketing materials developed for message accuracy
  • Work with cross functional brand marketing teams to build product awareness within Dealers, owners and enthusiasts at brand sponsored events
  • Grow digital marketing presence with linkage to other Ford channels and participate in cross functional ecommerce digital media meetings as business owner for media buy, customer targeting and creative focus and messaging
  • Ensure implementation and timing of "Go-to-Market" strategies for new Ford Customization products including Dealer Channel, licensed accessories, Ford Custom Garage packages, Ford Racing Parts and commercial trade packages
  • Work with Ford Communications team to create regular communication loop to both internal and external customers
  • Monitor and influence current processes and plans, bring new fresh ideas to the table. Participate in cross functional leadership meetings to receive marketing requests, ideate solutions, assign tasks within team and prioritize requests
  • Manage creative agency relationship with team, provide direction in creative briefs, prioritize projects and ensure accurate messaging and creative. Drive annual PO approval and lead control tower process and approvals for all marketing support agencies
  • Oversee fixed marketing budget to ensure correct POs, timely invoices and adherence to budget


  • EVENTS MARKETING:
  • Develop and support dealer event activation strategy, annual calendar, messaging and presence at both Dealer and consumer facing events
  • Ensure accurate strategy and messaging for each required event
  • Ensure assets are maintained and updated for each use
  • Oversight of department inventory of apparel, merchandise, giveaways, parts, display walls


PEOPLE:
  • Hold weekly 1:1s with people leader to review project status, discuss roadblocks, approve budgets and provide assistance where necessary
  • Deliver annual bowler objectives that align with Ford Customization sales growth objectives and identify how to measure the impact of marketing initiatives, assets and activations.
  • Complete mid-year and year end performance review
  • Ability to work cross-fucntionally with the various groups within Ford Customization, Ford Customer Service Division, Field Operations and Product Development.


Qualifications

Minimum
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of experience with creative marketing management, development of agency briefs, management of large agency staff
  • 5+ years of experience with strong organizational skills to manage numerous team members, multiple complex projects and deliver superior results on a timely basis
  • 5+ years of experience with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to lead team and develop employees
  • Strong written & verbal skills to prepare, present, & communicate project status and results to senior leaders
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Understanding of Vehicle Personalization and Ford Racing Parts business
  • Strong product and branding knowledge preferred
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Management
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to grow sales and increase awareness
  • Ability to motivate a widely diverse team of Ford and Agency personnel utilizing strong relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Have a strong positive growth mindset focused on solutions and not the problems. Strong attention to details.
  • Estimated Travel: 20-30%

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
