JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Private Alternatives Account Manager within the Asset Management’s Intermediary Services, you will focus on client relations for registered and private products across alternative asset classes within North America. In addition to mutual fund knowledge, you will bring deep knowledge of registered and private funds’ administration, onboarding, and platform operational processes to support private banks, custodians, wire houses, RIAs and independent broker/dealers. You will also deliver strong relationships across third party service providers (such as Digital vendors, transfer agents and administrators) and their counterparts at our platform partners. You will build relationships with third-party service providers and platform partners, support Client Advisors, and liaise with key internal teams.

Job responsibilities

  • Field inquiries from Financial Intermediaries, Financial Advisors, HNW Investors & internal stakeholders regarding JPM’s Alternative investment offerings, mutual funds, commingled funds, 529 plan portfolios, and other investment vehicles
  • Support operational onboarding and implementation of JPM products on platforms (private banks, wire houses, broker dealers, custodians, RIAs, and third party providers)
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and act as the voice of the Intermediary within the Firm
  • Develop strong understanding of distribution partners’ operational platforms and processes
  • Coordinate with internal JPM teams and third parties for client inquiries, problem resolution and reconciliation
  • Participate in client meetings and events as appropriate (including due diligence meetings).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with periodic filings; support ad hoc projects and research for PWA initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Asset Management in a client facing role with a background in Investor Relations/Client Services and a focus on Wealth Management distribution of Alternative products
  • Knowledge of financial markets, alternatives investment vehicles (Non-Traded REITS, Tender Offer Funds, BDCs, interval funds, private funds, etc.), and mutual funds
  • Ability to develop strong client and internal relationships and an in-depth understanding of intermediary servicing needs
  • Experience with onboarding & management of digital distribution/technology platforms and custodian relationships
  • Excellent organization, communication, project management, and time management skills; solutions-driven and adaptable in fast-paced environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage change and think beyond the job description to achieve client and firm goals

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • FINRA Series 7 (preferred but not required)
  • Advanced degrees, other financial qualifications and licenses a plus (e.g., CFA)
