Full Job Description
SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant Assessment Director (AD) role. The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician V to provide critical technical assistance to Navy Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers to include:
  • Receiving CNO Availability Work Packages from TYCOM and SURFMEPP
  • Ensuring assessment visibility for MTs
  • Resource coordination between MTs and Tech. Codes
  • Scheduling T/A 3 MTRs IAW CNRMC Instructions
  • Attendance of IPTD planning meetings
  • Reporting assessment statuses to respective RMC PMs
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Project Management and Reporting
  • CNO Maintenance Availability Certification Support
  • TSRA AD Functions
  • TSRA Visit Support Team Oversight
  • Training and Qualifications Management
Security Clearance Requirements:
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
  • 7 to 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures.
  • Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • MS Office suite proficiency required
  • Have completed, or ability to complete, local RMC Job Certification Requirements training within two years of hire.
  • Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
  • Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
