SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant
Assessment Director (AD) role. The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an
Engineering Technician V to provide critical technical assistance to Navy Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers to include:
- Receiving CNO Availability Work Packages from TYCOM and SURFMEPP
- Ensuring assessment visibility for MTs
- Resource coordination between MTs and Tech. Codes
- Scheduling T/A 3 MTRs IAW CNRMC Instructions
- Attendance of IPTD planning meetings
- Reporting assessment statuses to respective RMC PMs
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:- Project Management and Reporting
- CNO Maintenance Availability Certification Support
- TSRA AD Functions
- TSRA Visit Support Team Oversight
- Training and Qualifications Management
Security Clearance Requirements:• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:- Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field
- 7 to 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures.
- Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- MS Office suite proficiency required
- Have completed, or ability to complete, local RMC Job Certification Requirements training within two years of hire.
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements
- Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications
