Job Purpose
The Assembly Production Manager will lead, optimize, and scale our assembly manufacturing operations. In this role, you will oversee daily assembly processes, lead a high-performing manufacturing team, and ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical manufacturing expertise to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: - Oversee all assembly lines and shifts to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules are fully executed.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and assembly technicians while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to monitor defect rates, execute root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA guidelines, lead safety audits, and proactively eliminate physical hazards on the assembly floor.
- Manage shop floor budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and material workflows to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent manufacturing experience).
- 5+ years of leadership experience specifically within an assembly or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Deep familiarity with manual, semi-automated, or fully automated assembly line configurations and material-handling systems.
- Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident. Salary Range (annual): $120,000 - $150,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
