As an AI&T Project Engineer you will be responsible for interfacing with all functions of engineering as well as project management to aid in coordinating testing efforts for product development and project deliverables. You will provide support to prototyping and development teams to develop test setups for initial functionality demonstration and evaluation of the Lunar Terrain Vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of spacecraft test campaigns, including schedule, budget, risk, and coordination across engineering teams and facilities
- Build and maintain project schedules in MS Project; manage day-to-day tasking for multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Develop test methods, test plans, and GSE concepts for verification, validation, and rapid prototyping
- Create and manage assembly and test processes for components, subsystems, and full vehicle integration
- Oversee planning and execution of environmental testing (vibe, static load, TVAC, acoustics, EMI/EMC)
- Support analysis of test results, generation of test reports, and drive continuous improvements to test processes
- Manage Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and post-test data reviews
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Software, or related engineering field.
- 2+ years of experience in AI&T, systems engineering, or technical project/program management.
- Experience planning and managing full environmental test campaigns (vibe, static load, TVAC, acoustics, EMI/EMC).
- Familiarity with NASA design, construction, and test standards.
- Proven leadership managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong communicator who is highly organized and effective at driving cross-functional progress with internal teams and external partners.
- Skilled in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing test programs using tools like MS Project and Jira.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with rapid prototyping and fast proof-of-concept development.
- Prior experience developing special test equipment or custom test setups.
- Experience writing and executing demonstration & test procedures.
- Experience across the full lifecycle of NASA human-rated spaceflight projects.
- Background in startup or commercial aerospace environments.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering processes, requirements verification, and test methodologies.
