Job Title: Assembler DJob Code: 44889Job Location: Northampton, MASchedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Electronics Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of assembly and wiring operations at various levels of assemblies, working from engineering drawings, schematics and/or wiring diagrams. Examples of assemblies include electrical and microwave circuits, Electro-optical and mechanical systems.
Essential Functions: - Utilize Assembly Instructions, drawings, blueprints and/or schematics to perform bench builds of various wire assemblies.
- Utilize various type cables, harnesses, printed circuit cards (PTH & SMT) and chassis wiring.
- Use various types of potting and epoxy compounds, wiring on or near optics and other assigned work.
- Perform a variety of functions including clamping, checking clearances, crimping, wire dressing, soldering and mechanical assembly of components.
- Maintain appropriate production records.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Wire previously installed components and subassemblies into main assemblies and perform assembly of components.
- Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, engineering drawings, blue prints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Perform a variety of harness and cable assembly installations.
- Ablity to sit or stand for up to 10 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift 30-50lbs with assistance.
- PPE must be wore in designated work areas. (ESD Lab coats, ESD safety shoes, and safety glasses)
- IPC 620 and J Standard Certs.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Qualifications:- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, operation data sheets & computerized instructions
Preferred Additional Skills:- Knowledge (basic) of SAP

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $57,000- $106,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
