Job SummaryThe Asphalt and Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for all sales activities including lead generation, quotes, and field support in the assigned territory. This individual will manage their assigned territory and achieve annual personal and business goals assigned by the company. The Sales Representative will work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction and revenue generation, in line with CalPortland's vision and values.
Compensation$80,000 - $95,000 DOE
Responsibilities- Complete understanding of pricing and quote models and procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision maker
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support and assist with all projects in the field when needed
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics and codes, and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Participates and contributes to the development of educational and safety programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
Education- High School diploma or equivalent
- Safety certification (OSHA/MSHA) preferred
Requirements/Qualifications- Industry experience preferred
- Ability to speak and think on your feet, and in front of groups
- Clean driving record and owns vehicle
Preferred:- Experience with public entities (state, county, city governments, etc.)
- Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction products
- Mid-level computer skills (word, excel, power point, etc.)
Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. For work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
