Job DescriptionThe Ascent division of U.S. Bank's Wealth Management Group exclusively serves a limited number of ultra-high-net-worth clients, each with a net worth exceeding $75 million. The Director of Investments is responsible for directly managing these clients' investment portfolios while also assisting senior advisors with portfolio management and business development efforts.
Key daily tasks include creating personalized client portfolios and related performance reports, delivering prompt and relevant investment updates to clients, and preparing materials and models for both internal and external meetings. The Director of Investments collaborates closely with the Managing Directors of Investments to ensure consistent implementation of investment strategies across all accounts and organizes transition plans as appropriate. This position will have direct client contact as part of supporting the Managing Directors.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related field
- Nine or more years of portfolio/wealth management experience
- Three or more years of alternative assets experience

- Strong understanding of managers/styles in all asset classes
- Ability to meet with clients/prospects as sole investment professional representative
- Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
- Thorough knowledge of division and relation to industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $158,310.00 - 193,490.00
