Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in iSeries/AS400 development
• 8+ years of experience creating programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE)
• 3+ years of experience with SQL
• Excellent programming skills on the iSeries platform
• Very good knowledge of SQL concepts and ability to work with complex queries
• Good working knowledge of screen programming with Display Files and Subfiles
• Good communication skills, especially with client analysts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and create new programs on the iSeries platform
• Modify complex SQL queries and work with SQL Sprocs
• Design and analyze physical and logical files as well as SQL tables and indexes
• Document business rules and create data mapping documents based on program and data flow analysis
• Develop ILE program modules, binding directories, and service programs
• Utilize Message Queue for project requirements and embed XML tags in RPG programs
• Own project tasks and manage communications effectively with stakeholders.
