1.0 FTE | Monday-Friday |4x10's day off TBD | Shift-Based

Providing meaningful cancer care. Building long-term patient relationships. Growing within a team that has your back. MultiCare Cancer Institute is seeking a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Tacoma oncology team - a role built for those who value collaboration, stability, and purpose-driven work. In this full-time, weekday schedule, you will play a key role supporting cancer patients through treatment, symptom management, triage, coordination and ongoing continuity of care.

You'll work alongside dedicated oncologists, infusion nurses, and supportive care partners - with access to >20 Hem/Onc providers across the MultiCare Cancer Institute network.

In This Role, You Will
  • Provide comprehensive oncology care
  • Manage follow-ups, symptom support, treatment tolerance & survivorship care
  • Function alongside an attending oncologist with strong RN & clinic support
  • See ~12-15 patients/day once fully onboarded
  • Enjoy predictable 4x10s daytime hours
  • Work in a shift-based model

Compensation Based on YOE:

0-4 Years YOE: $171,000.00

5-9 YOE: $176,400.00

10+ YOE: $181,800

*Opportunities for additional income including annual Quality Incentive , wRVUs, and extra shifts.*

• Provides specialized care for patients undergoing cancer treatment, including administering systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents.
• Assess and manage treatment-related symptoms.
• Coordinate care across disciplines, and support patients through education, counseling, and survivorship planning.
• Work alongside oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other specialists to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Offer clear guidance on follow up care, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications to support informed decision-making.
• Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Stay current with oncology best practices, emerging therapies, and clinical guidelines through continuing education and training.

Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State
