Chemours is seeking an
Area Value Stream Leader - Continuous Improvement to join our growing Titanium Technologies team. This position will be available at the Johnsonville TiO2 Manufacturing Site in
New Johnsonville, TN and report directly to the site Senior Value Stream Leader.
Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:- Provide strategic alignment within the designated area to ensure a robust pipeline of initiatives and a 5-year improvement plan to meet Total Cost of Manufacture (TCOM) and competitiveness targets
- Monitor and implement LEAN process improvements and drive adherence to process standards (daily accounting, leader standard work, KPIs, 5S, problem solving)
- Integrate process improvements with data analytics (working in partnership with Data Scientists and SMEs), agile methodologies, and digitalization including machine learning, AI, and automated dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
- Lead cross-functional teams for key site initiatives, guiding execution and reporting progress versus key milestones
- Facilitate ideation sessions to generate new initiatives and partner with initiative owners to develop rigorous project milestones and timelines
- Provide coordination and execution coaching to project teams, serving as a consultant on dashboarding and data transformation
- Ensure WAVE system hygiene and follow up with initiative owners on issues and recognitions
- Apply best practices in initiative selection, prioritization, tracking, execution, and capital project delivery
- Support resource allocation and workload balancing for optimal initiative execution
The following is required for this role:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with demonstrated leadership in process improvement and cross-functional initiative execution
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to extract and summarize key concepts and pertinent facts from various complex sources
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Background in data analytics integration, dashboarding, and digitalization of manufacturing processes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
