POSITION SUMMARY: First America Homes is seeking an experienced Area Sales Managers with a proven record of developing and coaching sales consultants to exceed sales targets. The Area Sales Manager will be assigned a region in one of the four quadrants of Houston and be responsible for auditing sales teams within their region to execute strategies to achieve targets. Our Area Sales Managers travel regionally to meet with their sales teams and other managers to measure growth and plan new sales goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales and profit goals by recruiting, training, leading, developing, and motivating Sales Consultants.
- Conduct market research to develop and implement sales initiatives while staying up to date with competitor products.
- Implement a sales process to assist the Sales Consultants in identifying and prioritizing key customers and prospects.
- Provide ongoing training, motivation, and development of Sales Consultants to ensure that sales and profits are effectively managed and maintained.
- Visit communities to evaluate operations, cleanliness, and efficiency of each area, ensuring quality consistency across the region.
- Planning and execution of community inventory levels.
- Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines regional sales system improvements, and implements change when necessary.
- Effective communication with internal resources and sales consultants to oversee community backlog.
- Regularly review sales data and create reports for senior-level officers.
- Offer consultation and recommendations to Sales Consultants on overcoming operations challenges.
- Utilize business intelligence tools to provide sales insights to marketing and sales staff.
- Identify both struggling and successful sales initiatives and explore ways to improve on sales metrics.
- Recruit, hire and train Sales Consultants in their assigned area.
- Communicate actively with sales teams in a given area to help foster a team environment.
- Participate in planning and execution of sales meetings to help provide feedback and sales insights.
- Ensuring compliance with all company, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Performs other projects and related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business management, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience leading a sales team in new home sales is preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
- Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills.
- Excellent management, leadership, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate across different levels of an organization.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with little supervision.
- Experience with customer relationship software and services, such as Hub Spot.
- Notable interpersonal skills with a positive demeanor and ability to provide both positive and negative feedback effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly to attend and host meetings and assist with general management duties.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
