The Role

*This position is for the Eastern & Central Territory. You must reside in either EST or CST to be considered*

As the Area Sales Director, you will serve as a key member of the Sales Leadership Team, contributing to national launch strategies, organizational design, resource allocation, talent development, and commercialization planning. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Area Sales Director (ASD) will be responsible for achieving business objectives by hiring, developing, and leading a team of District Sales Managers (DSMs) and Therapeutic Specialty Representatives (TSRs) in the successful promotion of ANAPHYLM in the United States. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, diligent, and self-motivated individual that excels in a fast-paced environment and is interested in joining a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of District Sales Managers while indirectly influencing and developing an Area (East or West) team of sales representatives.
• Lead, motivate, and direct team, ensuring that they are appropriately trained in product knowledge, market conditions, market access, brand strategy and tactics, corporate policies, and targeted business planning.
• Design and implement short and long-term business plans intended to achieve commercial objectives and drive sales revenue with targeted accounts.
• Contribute to shaping national sales strategies while ensuring relentless field execution to exceed revenue and market share goals.
• Monitor launch KPIs and business performance metrics, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions to maximize velocity and market penetration.
• Set the example for a culture of performance and accountability supported by data driven tools and differentiated sales enablement strategies and tactics.
• Manage and evaluate field performance on an ongoing basis and implement corrective/developmental actions as needed. Provide verbal and written guidance, coaching, follow up, and development of field professionals in all phases of their work.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University
• 10+ years of management experience within the Biopharmaceutical industry with proven ability to develop and motivate others and deliver on objectives.
• 2nd line sales leader experience - proven ability to lead leaders
• Proven ability to lead teams through organizational growth, change, and launch-related complexity
• Cross functional experience preferred: Sales Training, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial Operations
• Demonstrated success in highly competitive, evolving, or startup commercial environments.
• Ability to recruit, retain, and develop a high-quality team
• Product launch and sales force build out experience preferred
• Experience in allergy/respiratory/immunology preferred
• Must consistently demonstrate sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships with KOLs
• Results-driven with exceptional attention-to-detail and knowledge around metrics
• Strong organizational and analytical skills in project planning, project implementation, and cross-functional team management.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to meet overnight travel demands - 50% time in field; other travel may be required.

Expected salary range: $225,000 to $250,000/year
