About the roleThe Area Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, clinical adoption, and maximizing product utilization across a defined territory. This role leads end-to-end sales execution with a strong emphasis on ensuring consistent and effective utilization of solutions, including business planning, customer engagement, team development, and post-sale support. The Director builds and leads a high-performing sales team focused on increasing utilization rates, while partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to achieve strong clinical adoption and sustained utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute regional business plans to achieve corporate revenue, procedure, and utilization targets
- Drive successful post-sale implementation, program launches, and ongoing customer adoption
- Spearhead sales performance by setting clear goals, monitoring results, and ensuring accountability across the team
- Support the team in delivering effective product presentations and clinical discussions with key stakeholders
- Lead, hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team of sales managers
- Coach sales managers to structure business opportunities that consistently deliver strong revenue results
- Serve as escalation point for issues beyond team authority; resolve team conflicts as necessary
- Expand the customer base while increasing adoption and utilization within existing accounts
- Lead referral education and strategic sales activities that drive procedure growth
- Ensure the team conducts regular business reviews with customers to track performance and identify growth opportunities
- Maintain deep knowledge of products, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical and medical affairs, and leadership teams to enhance go-to-market strategies and sales effectiveness
- Provide accurate forecasts, sales reports, and field insights to senior leadership to enhance the overall product offering of Galvanize Therapeutics

QualificationsEducation and Training:- BA/BS Degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
Skills and Experience: - Proven track record of leading sales in the medical device or disposable device markets
- Experience selling early-stage technologies which establish a new care pathway for patients
- Strong sales, recruiting, leadership, organization, planning and prioritization
- Results oriented with multiple years of meeting or exceeding quota with experience in bringing innovative market defining products to market
- Good interpersonal skills to align and foster positive working relationships across the organization (internal and external)
- Ability to develop and critically analyze a sales pipeline and forecast
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
Location and Travel:- This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in the Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas region. Relocation assistance not offered for this role.
- Ability to travel 50% or more.
Compensation Salary:- $195,000 base salary with a variable compensation plan and monthly car allowance
